10 Big Questions From Venom's New Trailer
3. Who Will Cameo?
Carnage.
If the three accounted for symbiotes leave two more in the wind, chalk one up to Cletus Kasady himself. While viewers don't get any concrete glimpses of him here, Woody Harrelson openly and hilariously pretty-much-confirmed this news himself.
It had been hotly rumored that Harrelson had filmed a cameo for the film for months, but while he was doing press for another film, he confessed to Collider (http://collider.com/woody-harrelson-interview-lost-in-london/#venom-movie) that he's only appearing for a moment at the tail end of Venom and that his appearance will set up his involvement in the sequel. He also hilariously pointed out that he didn't even read a script for it and referred to taking the role as just rolling 'the dice'.
So expect Harrelson to show as Cletus Kasady in the film's final moments to set up an appearance in the potential sequel.
The other big hotly rumored cameo is Mr. Tom Holland, Spider-Man himself. Again, no appearance in the trailer but Hardy and director Ruben Fleishcer all-but-confirmed at SDCC that the relative success or failure of this film will determine if they're allowed to play with any of the MCU characters.
That could very easily be them downplaying rumors to preserve the surprise, but it could just as easily be them trying to avoid audiences being disappointed when there is no web-slinger.
