10 Biggest Lies All Movie Goers Tell Themselves

2. Everyone Else Liked It, So It Must Be Good

Paranormal Activity It may sound selfish, but I have gotten to the point in my life now where I try to no longer follow people's opinions when it comes to films. If I think it looks good then I want to form my own ideas on it when I have finally gotten around to seeing it. Sometimes I am wrong and what I thought was going to be the next Citizen Kane was a huge pile of rubbish and equally this can happen the other way round (although I am still looking for something that will match up to Citizen Kane still!) Just because one of your friends or co-workers has been to see something and claims it is the best thing since sliced bread, that does not mean you are going to like it. Try forming your own opinion on a film and don't just jump on the popularity bandwagon because everyone has raved and gone on about it for weeks. I am not saying people are wrong, all I am saying is sometimes people get caught up in the hype of a movie and really it just isn't that good (ahem, Paranormal Activity, ahem).
