I can only speak for myself, but when I'm driving down the road I'm always in constant fear that some nefarious criminal is going to shoot my gas tank, causing my car to instantly erupt into a fireball of death. It's obvious that making a car explode is a simplistic act that nearly anyone can do. All you need is a small handgun and one perfectly aimed shot to the fuel system, and boom. Vehicular bombslaughter. The reality, of course, it that it's practically impossible to make a car blow up. Even vehicles that have been ignited from an accident can burn for hours without every truly going up in flames. The chances of making an automobile explode via gunshot, especially a singular gunshot, are astronomical. But that doesn't stop me from riding down the highway with my head on a swivel. Just in case.
