2. Terminator 5: Game of Thrones' Emilia Clarke To Play Sarah Connor
The Terminator series is just one of the many decades-old movie franchises looking forward to a sequel/reboot in the next few years, and has been slowly inching towards its 2015 release date for years. Earlier this year Arnold Schwarzenegger announced his return to the series, and over the last few weeks all eyes have been on Game of Thrones' Emilia Clarke, who has been circling the iconic role of Sarah Connor. Clarke, 26, has enjoyed breakout success after playing Daenerys "Mother of Dragons" Targaryen on HBO's highly-successful fantasy series, and
Deadline reported late Friday that she has now officially signed on to play Connor in Terminator 5. Game of Thrones and Thor: The Dark World director Alan Taylor is (still unofficially) at the helm of the film, which opens in theaters on July 1, 2015 and is written by Patrick Lussier (Drive Angry) and Laeta Kalogridis (Shutter Island).
