8. Zoe Saldana Headlining Rosemary's Baby for NBC

Saldana Rosemarys Baby I know many horror fans who feel a bit let down by the recent options for horror on the big screen, but it seems to be finding its stride on television. Shows like The Walking Dead and American Horror Story have enjoyed tremendous success, and NBC hit it out of the park last year with Hannibal. Now the network is looking at another beloved horror property to bring to the small screen: Rosemary's Baby. Rosemary's Baby is a 1867 novel written by Ira Levin that was adapted into a film by Roman Polanski in 1968 (and got an adapted screenplay Oscar nomination). It's a supernatural suspense thriller, about a young couple who move into a New York city apartment inhabited by strange residents. Rosemary has a disturbing nightmare in which she gets raped by the devil, and soon finds that she's pregnant. Soon she begins to suspect that her neighbors and husband are part of a conspiracy revolving around her unborn child. The show will be a four hour miniseries that will most likely debut later this year. Earlier this week NBC reported that Zoe Saldana has been signed on to play Rosemary. The four hour runtime seems befitting for the adaptation to do the story justice, and Saldana sounds like solid casting, so keep your eyes open for this one.
