3. Roberto Orci And X-Men: First Class Writers Board Power Rangers Remake

Power Rangers One of the major projects on Roberto Orci's plate is the Power Rangers remake from Lionsgate and Saban. According to THR, Orci is on board to produce the film, and develop the story. He will then hand off scripting duties to X-Men: First Class scribes Ashley Miller and Zack Stentz. Haim Saban, who created the iconic and beloved franchise, is on board for the reboot, which is described as a "complete revision" of the iconic martial arts-fighting teenagers with giant robots. This time around, they are "infused with cool super powers," which they must harness to save the world. Not much else is known about the film, or the overall direction it will take. Judging by the slew of reboots hitting the market today, you can bet that the words "dark" and "gritty" are being thrown around somewhere, while a heavy dose of nostalgia will serve as icing on the cake.
