8. Jack Thorne To Write Sandman For Joseph-Gordon Levitt

Sandman A few months ago we learned that DC and Warner Bros were moving forward with the long-awaited adaptation of Neil Gaiman's beloved graphic novel, Sandman. Gaiman, David S. Goyer and Joseph Gordon-Levitt are producing the project, with Levitt rumored to be up for the lead role and directing gig as well. The project is still in early stages of development, so it may be some time before we see it come to fruition, but things took a step in the right direction this week. BAFTA-winning screenwriter and playwright Jack Thorne (Skins, This is England) has been hired to work on the script. This project has been on fans' most-wanted lists for years,so it's exciting to see that it might finally happen. Now that Goyer has solidified his place at Warner Bros. in the form of a first-look deal with the studio, this project is in good hands.
