10 Blatant Paycheck Movie Roles (That Were AWESOME)
4. Al Pacino - Jack & Jill
There's a fair argument to be made that Adam Sandler's comedy vehicle Jack and Jill is one of the worst films of the last decade, winning 10 of its 12 Razzie nominations as it did, including Worst Picture, Worst Director, and Worst Supporting Actor for Al Pacino.
Pacino bafflingly co-stars in the film as a fictionalised version of himself, but he's without question the most entertaining thing about the entire movie, precisely because he commits fully - and hard - to sending himself up.
If it's easy to glibly view the film as a depressing testament to what even legendary actors will do for money, Jack and Jill gave the world the infamous - yet genuinely hilarious - "Dunkaccino" commercial, which features Pacino singing a song about his own branded Dunkin' Donuts coffee, while wearing a donut jacket no less.
Moreover, it's a surprisingly substantial supporting role for the Godfather actor, and one which sees him exude more energy and enthusiasm than he had in a movie in years (at the time), honestly.
While doing the press rounds for The Irishman last year, Pacino admitted he likes to pick well-paying bad movies and try to elevate them with his acting chops. That he certainly did with Jack and Jill, The Razzies be-damned.
