3. Domhnall Gleeson
Domhnall Gleeson comes from hearty Irish celebrity stock, his father being the famous actor Brendan Gleeson. But despite his considerable connections within the industry, his acting career has largely been cultivated on his own merit. Years back, he had a small but significant role as Bill Weasley in Harry Potter, but it wasn't until the past two years or so that he's been taken seriously as a leading man. And to be fair, his unique brand of awkward yet earnest charm isn't exactly what we've come to expect from conventional movie heroes. But with winning performances in films like About Time and Frank, he's proven that he is more than capable of headlining a film. Until recently, however, he's largely stuck to small, independent films. That all changed this year, when his name was attached to one of the most anticipated films of 2015 -- Star Wars Episode VII: The Force Awakens. So it's safe to say that as much as his stock has risen in 2014, next year will be even bigger for the Irish actor.
