10 Brilliant Details You Completely Missed In Superhero Movies

Christopher Nolan isn't the sort of director who does anything by accident.

The Brit is well known for his incredible attention to detail when creating his distinctly Nolan films and this trait was on show once again in a party scene during Batman Begins.

What first seems like nothing more than an arrogant-yet-excellent way of ensuring a ton of rich folk safely exit his gaff, soon becomes so much more once you scratch the surface.

When faced with the reality of his old mentor Henri Ducard revealing himself to be the actual Ra's al Ghul, Wayne boots out his guests with these words:

'So, here's to you people. To all you phonies. All you two-faced friends, you sycophantic suck-ups who smile through your teeth at me. Please, leave me in peace. Please, go. Stop smiling. It's not a joke.'

It appears that Nolan was hinting at Batman's future adversaries in this monologue, with Mr. Wayne specifically referencing 'two-faced friends', people who 'smile through (their) teeth' and even acknowledging that this wasn't in fact 'a joke'.

The Dark Knight would see Wayne take on both Harvey 'Two Face' Dent and The Joker soon enough, but very few picked up on these first few signs of what was waiting for the Caped Crusader in the not too distant future.
