It seems a shame that many of Britain's biggest talents appeared in the exception which proves the rule of Pixar's greatness, but then again, the fact that Pixar chose to feature so many home-grown native actors to represent a London populated entirely by motor vehicles is a testament to just how devoted to detail they are. And indeed, it's not that any of the disappointment for Cars 2's failure can be blamed on the cast, as it also featured none other than Vanessa Redgrave, one of Britain's biggest acting talents. She is the only British actress to win an Oscar, Tony, Emmy, Olivier, Cannes, Golden Globe, and Screen Actors Guild award, and was distinguished with a BAFTA fellowship in 2010. Something which is hardly surprising considering how much of an acting dynasty she comes from. Cars 2 is also hardly her only voice role, as she also acts as narrator to the hit BBC series Call The Midwife. Recent feature film credits include The Butler and Ralph Fiennes' Coriolanus, although she has also appeared in films as diverse as Oh! What A Lovely War, and Mission Impossible.
