10 Characters We Want To See In The Lego Movie Sequel

6. Aquaman

Though we did see most of the prominent Justice League characters show up (Batman, Superman, Green Lantern and Wonder Woman) in The Lego Movie, one who was conspicuous by his absence was Aquaman, and I can't help but feel that Lord and Miller missed a trick here. There's a lot of apprehension over putting Aquaman in an inevitable Justice League movie, let alone giving the character his own standalone movie, and that's because the character, who largely conducts his business on water, is seen as too goofy to make into a contemporary action movie that audiences will be able to get behind. The second Lego Movie needs to add Aquaman in there, complete with a bunch of jokes about how he's useless on land (perhaps he's a member of Metalbeard's ship?), only for him to return at the end of the movie and somehow save Emmet and co. in some ridiculously outlandish way that proves his worth. It would help Warner's strategy moving forward with the Justice League, and in a way that wouldn't seem overly forced considering his buddies were already in the first movie.
