10 Characters Who MUST Appear In Upcoming Movie Sequels
3. Captain Britain - Spider-Man: Far From Home
Captain Britain, also known as Brian Braddock, has already been teased in the MCU. The reference came in Endgame and was overshadowed by other, more epic events, and was a little blink and you’ll miss it to begin with.
In the 1970s, Peggy Carter mentions the name Braddock while Steve is watching her in her office; likely this is Captain Britain’s father rather than the hero himself.
Brian Braddock’s father, Sir James Braddock, was from the Otherworld and was himself once a member of the Captain Britain Corps, as his son becomes.
With Spider-Man: Far From Home heading to London, if it’s not Spider-UK joining, it may well be Captain Britain.
It wasn’t even Endgame’s biggest Easter Egg, with talk of an underwater earthquake off the coast of Wakanda leading to speculation about the existence of Atlantis, and therefore Namor.
Marvel’s first mutant is a bigger name than Captain Britain, so naturally he’s generated more press coverage and speculation.
With regards to Namor, he hasn’t made the cut here as we’ve had the rug pulled from under us with a Namor tease before and he’s just as likely to get a solo movie of his own than he is to debut as Black Panther’s antagonist.
