10 Characters Who Will Probably Die In 2016's Biggest Movies

9. En Sabah Nur/Apocalypse - X-Men: Apocalypse

All things considered, X-Men: Apocalypse looks to have been poised as the last film in the X-Men franchise that isn't a Wolverine solo movie. You get the sense that the plan is for the series to come full circle and wind down with this chapter, as the characters begin to resemble their older incarnations (basically, James McAvoy is finally going bald). Which means that, in all likelihood, Oscar Isaac's villain, En Sabah Nur (or "Apocalypse") will almost certainly find himself obliterated at the end of the film. Even if they do decide to make more X-Men pictures, there's very little chance that the studio will opt to carry a villain over from one film to the next. Especially since Isaac is going to be busy shooting Star Wars movies for the next four years of his life - he won't have time for X-Men flicks. So for Apocalypse, the world's most powerful ancient mutant, it'll likely be curtains. Even if the end up making the guy immortal like in the comics, they'll still find a way to end him.
