2. The Leader
Remember Samuel Sterns, the guy who was trying to cure Bruce Banner's anger issues in The Incredible Hulk and was infected by his radioactive blood for his efforts? For the uninitiated, his ultimate fate in the movie was teasing his transformation into a gama-powered supervillain called The Leader.
Although Marvel Studios has gone to great lengths to convince the world The Incredible Hulk never happened - even recasting the lead role - The Leader is likely still alive in the MCU, probably in SHIELD custody.
Marvel tied up this loose end in the digital comic series Fury's Big Week, which revealed that Black Widow later arrived on the scene, subdued the mutating doctor and handed him over to SHIELD.
It was a massive rug sweep, but like Tony Stark's post-credits Hulk cameo, this dangling plot thread had to be resolved somehow.
