2. Corey Haim
Corey Haim rose to prominence as one of the "Two Coreys" alongside Corey Feldman, and though both had their personal struggles, Hain's evidently were the more potent of the two. Haim's bad-boy image that he fashioned in films like The Lost Boys apparently transpired through to his real life as well, for he soon enough became caught up in rampant drug and alcohol abuse, causing his career to go surging down the toilet. So legendary were his drug binges that he even wound up in a coma in one instance, and good friend Feldman, himself a recovering addict, had to force himself to keep his distance so as not to be lured back to the dark side. Feldman starred not long before his death in a brief but memorable role in Crank: High Voltage (as a mulleted man Jason Statham assaults), as well as reprising his Lost Boys role briefly in a straight-to-video sequel. In the end, perhaps ironically, he died of pneumonia after accidentally overdosing on prescription drugs. The only plus to all this is that perhaps it will be the proper wake-up call that Feldman needs to stay clean.
