1. The Death Of The King - The Lion King
It was inevitable that this moment was going to make this list. When people mention crying at Disney movies, the immediate thought for me is: Mufasa's death. The way in which the relationship is built up between Mufasa and his son, Simba, is simply genius. To therefore force the young Simba to watch his father die - and more importantly - for him to feel responsible for his father's death, is pure evil on behalf of Disney (at the same time intensely emotional and very tactical). From this moment on, the viewer is more in tune with Simba's emotions throughout everything. When Simba makes the decision to run away, we're made to feel like we're right there with him. Poor Simba. Nasty Scar. Sob. Agree or disagree with this list? Which Disney moments broke our hearts? Let us know in the comments section below.
