3. Jim Carrey
You know, it's really fun writing this article. Not only because I consider myself a comedic genius in my everyday life and these were my mentors, but because everyone I'm writing about seems like a generally good person, and Jim Carrey is no exception. Just based off interviews and his relationship with the gorgeous Jenny McCarthy, Mr. Carrey seems like a man that cares passionately about what he does and the people around him. I'd do anything to be able to spend a day with him. But, back to the story: Jim Carrey got his start in a sketch comedy show called
In Living Color, and he was hilarious in it. Now, I wasn't really old enough to watch when it was airing, but I can relive the greatness through YouTube whenever I wish. He went on to act in a number of great comedy movies like
Dumb and Dumber, and he was even the Riddler in a
Batman movie. His most serious role though was probably
Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, but the movie I love from him where he is more serious character is
The Truman Show. In the show, he basically plays a man that is in a reality show, but doesn't know it. Eventually, he soon discovers what is going on, and I'll leave the rest for the viewer to watch. It is one of my favorite Carrey movies, and everytime it does come on the television, I make sure I watch it.
