10 Comic Book Films That Ignored The Source (That Fans Still Loved)

What is arguably the most successful X-Men movie in the franchise, and one of the genuinely better superhero movies out there, did well to steer away from the material that inspired it. Mark Millar and Steve McNiven's Old Man Logan is a fantastic, fun and beautiful looking graphic novel, but adapting its content as it is on screen wouldn’t have been such a great idea.

When director James Mangold drafted the 2017 Logan blockbuster he envisioned Hugh Jackman's last Wolverine story somewhat more in tune with a more dramatic, almost noir approach.

There's loads from the comic that didn't make its way into the film - Hawkeye, A giant Venomized Tyrannosaurs Rex, redneck Hulks and the Spider-Mobile, and that’s just to name a few.

Regardless of who has certain characters' rights, some things in comics only work in comics.
