A happy byproduct of WB's current lack of on-screen success with Batman and Superman is that they've been pushing more obscure characters to the forefront of their cinematic projects.

This trend will hopefully continue long enough so that Blue Beetle - specifically the Ted Kord version - and Booster Gold can get their own film.

The characters have very different, practically conflicting personalities - Beetle being an altruistic hero and Booster deciding to become a hero simply for wealth and fame - though are somehow the best of friends, making them perfect to star in a buddy cop sort of film. Something like Ant-Man & The Wasp... but y'know - better.
