10 Comic Book Movies That Don't Deserve To Be Rotten On Rotten Tomatoes

1. Sin City: A Dame To Kill For (2014)

Rotten Tomatoes Score: 43% Unfortunately for Sin City: A Dame To Kill For, it arrived at a time when people no longer cared about a Sin City. Had writer/director Robert Rodriguez released the follow-up to his critically-acclaimed blockbuster hit within the space of, say, two years, the sequel might not have flopped as hard as it did. And it flopped hard. The fact that Sin City: A Dame To Kill lost so much money at the box office led a lot of people to believe that it was a seriously terrible movie, though that's not really the case. While this belated sequel didn't really do much to progress the franchise creatively, it's still a thoroughly worthwhile action film built form a mesmerising carousel of violent sequences and creatively-choreographed set-pieces. The biggest problem is that, all these years later, Sin City just doesn't leap out in the all the ways that it did back in 2005. Ten years have past, times have changed, technology has moved on... as a result, A Dame To Kill For feels like a bit of relic, but that doesn't mean for a second that Rodriguez fails to deliver one relentlessly entertaining orgy. If you go into it with an open mind, fans of the original film are sure to find lots to like about this sequel. Also, there's Eva Green, who is without question the star of the film: as Ava Lord, she sprays sex all over the screen and leaves you giddy for more. If only!
