9. The Green Hornet
Seth Rogen and PG-13 are two things that should never be heard in the same sentence. The guy has made a name for himself as a crude, hilarious lug, and that personality
should have translated brilliantly into a modern take on the classic comic/TV series/radio show. Though, to be fair, the film is an incredibly light, silly farce anyway, but the PG-13 no doubt dictated the tonal direction the film took, and the prevailing feeling is that something a little harsher and edgier would have served the material better. Imagine a 21 Jump Street-esque re-interpretation of The Green Hornet that at once celebrates and pokes fun at the source material; Rogen gets to swear his head off, and the action can be gory rather than harmlessly inert. This one should have been a given.
