5. The Underdog Always Wins
Everyone loves a Cinderella story. A ragtag group of kids from the wrong side of town who band together to win the big game or some other cheese ball back story like that that has everyone thinking that they'll fail, but the team or whatever proves them all wrong by winning. Really pulls on the heartstrings, doesn't it? Until you realize that, once again, life doesn't work like that. Teams are usually considered underdogs for a reason; they aren't as good as their opponents. Sure, every now and then the underdog will come out on top. You can tell when that happens because Disney will have already cast Kurt Russell or Dennis Quaid or someone like that in the movie that they'll inevitably make about the entire ordeal. Unfortunately for them, however, when a team is the underdog, they're probably going to lose. It's a bummer, but that's life. The better team generally wins.
