1. How Does Bruce Get Back To Gotham?
The Dark Knight Rises Towards the climax of The Dark Knight Rises, we see Bruce Wayne finally complete his escape attempt from The Pit, leaving him stranded in an isolated area an unknown distance away from Gotham City. Later, we see Bruce reveal himself on Gotham's streets to Selina Kyle, leaving us wondering just how he managed to get himself back home in time to save the City from a Neutron Bomb. Whilst many have complained about the lack of an explanation as to exactly how he made his way home, it seems a bit irrelevant in the grand scheme of things. The most plausible explanation is also the most obvious, that he got a Plane back to somewhere relatively nearby then simply walked into Gotham from there. Admittedly the area where the Pit is located seems rather isolated, but do you really believe Bane (Or Talia for that matter), would waste time flying Bruce out to an area where there is no access whatsoever to the outside world just because it seems like a cool way to kill him off? They must have flown him out there somewhere which means it's highly likely there is an airstrip in the vicinity and as we first see Bruce open his eyes when he is already in the Pit, then it's unlikely that it took them that long to get him in there in the first place.
Let's be honest, we may have complained that we didn't get to see how he got home, but do you really want to see him chilling out waiting for a Plane, then eventually getting on a Plane, then chilling on the Plane, then getting off the Plane, then walking into Gotham? Thought not. You could also say that the bridge is closed and there's no real way to just walk into Gotham, but this is Bruce Wayne. The Police aren't going to stop the most powerful man in the City waltzing in and even if they did, he's an actual genuine Ninja. He could outmanoeuvre an inept Police Force any day of the week with little to no effort. Admittedly, they could have made it a bit more exciting. The Pit was of great significance to The League of Shadows so the fact that it still exists at all is quite telling, they must still have a presence around the Pit so it's likely they had Guards in the nearby settlement. If there wasn't already an air strip, these Guards would definitely have had phones or some way of keeping in contact with Talia and Bane, so Bruce could have snuck in, took a phone, called in a Plane and been home in Gotham in a day or so. Whilst it does feel a little like there is a scene missing, neither of the most plausible options for his return to Gotham would have been particularly exciting to watch and we have to remember that he is Batman. Is it really relevant how he gets back there when he is the most resourceful man on the Planet?
