10 Completely Plausible Answers To Unanswered Movie Questions

7. Who Shot Nice Guy Eddie?

reservoir_l Reservoir Dogs At the blood-soaked climax of Quentin Tarantino's debut feature, an incredibly tense Mexican standoff ensues in which Joe and Nice Guy Eddie believe Mr. Orange to be an Undercover Cop, something Mr. White refuses to believe (despite it being true). In the standoff, everyone's gun is fired, yet Nice Guy Eddie is shot and begins falling to the floor before Mr. White has a chance to turn his gun on him. In reality, this happened because Eddie's blood squib exploded too early, but Eddie fell to the floor anyway, a mistake which Tarantino noticed but left in the final film to give audiences this very question to debate. In the film, we do see Mr. White turn towards Eddie and fire as he is falling, so it is entirely conceivable that Mr. White did in fact hit Eddie with his bullet, but Eddie was already seemingly hit once, so who shot him? 600px-RDSW659-3 It may seem far-fetched, but when you think about it, it is entirely plausible that the only 'Dog' still left alive, Mr. Pink, who spent his time hidden under the stairs during this final confrontation, was in fact the unknown shooter. We definitely do not see this take place, but we are watching the scene from behind Mr. White and Mr. Orange, so Mr. Pink would have been behind us anyway and if you think back to the beginning of the film, this is the same Mr. Pink who refused to tip at the cafe. If he wouldn't spare any money then, why would he want to risk having to share the diamonds with anyone else? Seeing the way that the Mexican standoff was going to take place, he could have plausibly fired a shot at Eddie in order to ensure that he was the only survivor and could escape with the diamonds. Unfortunate then, that we seemingly hear his arrest taking place during the end credits.
