One of George A. Romero's most unappreciated works of zombie fiction, Land of the Dead is a hidden gem and something that all horror fans should at least seek out. As for fans of the zombie genre, this is essential. Though it didn't make a massive splash like Dawn of the Dead remake, it brought the traditional zombie movie into the twenty-first century.

Zombies were slow again but now years later they had won the war with humanity. In this movie, the walkers needed purpose and to stop being tormented by the surviving humans. So, led by Big Daddy, they stormed Fiddlers Green, a human population.

During all this Cholo DeMora just happens to be bit, but instead of killing himself like many others, his dead form would go on to have a purpose like the rest. All his zombified self wanted was revenge and thanks to the ensuing chaos, he got just that.

There is something really unsettling to know that once somebody is gone, their corporeal form could still eventually come back for revenge.
