A kiss can express sentiments of passion, love, affection, greeting, friendship, respect, peace and good luck. Over the years the world of cinema has given us its fair share of well executed and memorable kissing scenes, from Humphrey Bogart and Ingrid Bergman in Casablanca to Molly Ringwald and Michael Schoeffling in Sixteen Candles. On the flip side, the world of film has also given us its fair share of awkward on-screen lip-locking moments as well. Smooches that instantly make you cringe, either from laughable amusement or unquestionable distaste. Sometimes it's deliberate; other times it's due to chemistry. Occasionally, there isn't a clear reason. No matter the cause, the audience ends up recoiling.
