Superman has had his fair share of stupid or inexplicable superpowers over the years. Everything form super-weaving, his ability to time-travel, super-hypnosis, his super-ventriloquism and so on and so forth. No power came more out of left field than the infamous "amnesia" kiss during the finale of the comic book movie classic Superman II. In the end of the film Superman kisses Lois Lane (who now knows his secret identity) and she immediately forgets that Clark Kent is Superman. Here's the part that makes no sense: how did he know he could do this? Did he try to hook up with a girl at a school dance and inadvertently wiped her memory clean? Why doesn't he use this superpower on all his foes? Sure, kissing Lex Luthor would be weird but it would be effective nonetheless. Anyway, to get back to the point. This scene is nonsensical, corny and ultimately throws off the entire movie. If you're a fan of the first two Superman films, this scene in particular has to be at least little difficult to watch.
