6. The Lub Lubs - Mom And Dad Save The World

These cute little guys are exactly what the Goombas in the Super Mario Bros. movie should have looked like. Small, cute, shaped like a mushroom, but also extremely deadly at the same time. Mom and Dad Save the World follows an other worldly evil dictator named Emperor Tod Spengo (played by Jon Lovitz), who transports a wife named Marge (played by Teri Garr) and her husband Dick (played by Jeffrey Jones) to his planet. Tod reveals that he plans to make Marge his wife and banishes Dick, sentencing him to death but the unlucky human makes his escape and flees down a garbage chute to the sewers, where he hides. Down in his makeshift sanctuary, he comes across the cute-looking mushroom-like creatures, one of which he foolishly attempts to pet just up to the point where it reveals its true carnivorous colours and forces him to flee.
