Warner Bros. Animation will occasionally take risks to keep things from becoming stale. It’s what keeps these movies working and gives life to the reputation they built. It’s time for them to take another leap of faith.

Mister Miracle, the son of Darkseid, is a hero growing in popularity. The run by Tom King and Mitch Gerads is perfect for adapting. Known as Scott Free, our protagonist is a renowned escape artist gifted with abilities from his homeworld of Apokolips.

He is confronted with the fact that his father now has the anti-life equation. It’s up to Mister Miracle to choose: give up the love of his life and new home to stop Darkseid, or do nothing and watch the galaxy waste away.

The potential is there. The character and the story are unique and blend in well with films already in planning. Mister Miracle, powers and all, is fit for the animated screen due to his larger than life persona. It’s a way of introducing the more massive DC fandom to a genuinely unique superhero with a lot to offer in the long run.
