10 DCEU Fan Theories You Need To Hear
1. The DCEU Is Building Up To Injustice
The Marvel Cinematic Universe is about to reach what could be its endgame with Infinity War, but nobody really knows where its DC counterpart might be heading.
Some have speculated that a Crisis on Infinite Earths adaptation is on the way, but this fan theory claims DC and Warner Bros will head in a different direction.
A prediction which continues to gain traction on Reddit suggests the DC Extended Universe is set within the Injustice: Gods Among Us timeline and will culminate in a big screen version of this very event.
Injustice: Gods Among Us is set in a darker DC Universe where the Joker tricks Superman into killing a pregnant Lois Lane, causing the Man of Steel to snap, murder the Clown Prince of Crime and form an oppressive new world order.
Injustice has already spawned two excellent video games, and a movie adaptation would be superb as far as the fans are concerned, but will it actually happen?
Those in favour of the theory point to Batman's Knightmare sequences, where Superman does appear to be a bad guy, and the dark tone of the DCEU movies as evidence supporting it.
Justice League, however, appears to be lightening things up a great deal, which could indicate the shared cinematic universe is heading in another direction.
