10 Deadliest Planets In Star Wars

9. Kessel

Notorious throughout the Galaxy for its spice mines and slave labour, Kessel was a dangerous place to find yourself imprisoned.

Cloaked by a thick smog which made navigating difficult, this planet had a dense, humid climate and arid planes surrounding the underground mines.

These mines were cavernous and foreboding, under the operation of both the Pyke Syndicate and the Empire. Neither parties minded that they were utilising slave labour in the poor, life-threatening conditions. Even Wookiees were captured and forced to work by the Pyke Sentinels - repurposed assassins with specialised weapons.

Due to the mines' production of both spice and the rare mineral coaxium deep below the planet, security was especially tight. Constantly swarming with criminals, mercenaries, droids and Stormtroopers - and watched over by Star Destroyers - surviving this world wouldn't be easy.

Even escaping the planet's sector proved difficult, as the infamous Kessel Run was the fastest but also most savage route away from orbit. Tentacled monsters which dwelled along the Run like the Summa-Verminoth caused problems for even the most skilled of pilots.

Galactic Travel Advice: Never fly casual.
