10 Decisions New Masters Of The Universe Movie Must Get Right

4. No Romantic Teela Subplot

Heman Subplot Teela's a great character. She is the Xena of the He-Man universe. Having the most powerful man in the universe share a screen with a sexy "warrior goddess" would tempt many a writer to go for the obvious romantic subplot. Sure it was done with Thor/Jane Foster, Cap/Peggy Carter, Iron Man/Pepper Potts, Batman/Rachel Dawes, etc..., but with He-Man and Teela it would feel forced. She is imbued with the spirits of great warriors of the past. Getting doe-eyed over He-Man's biceps wouldn't do the character justice. The He-Man/Teela relationship should be built on respect and honor. Any romance story should be saved for at least the sequel or maybe third film. The right decision: Teela is a bad ass battle ally and equal among the "Masters". The wrong decision: Besides one or two fight scenes, Teela is relegated to He-Man arm candy.
