9. Batman And Superman's Cameos Were Scrapped - Shazam! Fury Of The Gods

Over the last year or so, a great many planned super cameos and appearances have been altered or scrapped on the back of James Gunn and Peter Safran taking over DC Studios as the two prepare to kick off their own DCU.

Joining the likes of Aquaman: The Lost Kingdom's numerous reported (via THR) Batman replacements and removals, is a set of Shazam! Fury of the Gods cameos that at one point seemed like an interesting idea for director David F. Sandberg.

With a decent chunk of the Shazam! sequel taking place within a Simpsons-esque dome, Sanberg originally thought it could have been cool to see the likes of Superman and Batman attempting to break into it to help Billy Batson defeat the daughters of Atlas in a scene or news report.

However, this plan was "dropped pretty quickly" as the director (via Comicbook.com) soon realised that having the Justice League men nearby would have opened "a whole 'nother can of worms" for him to deal with during the DCEU entry.

Instead, Fury of the Gods settled for just the one random Justice League cameo, with Gal Gadot's Wonder Woman showing up in the eventual flop.

And this wasn't the only Bat appearance that was dropped from a recently released DCEU project either...
