10 Deleted Star Wars Scenes That Should Have Been Left In

Korr Sella (Maisie Richardson-Sellers) was a very minor character who appeared in The Force Awakens (2015). She's seen briefly during the First Order's destruction of Hosian Prime, the capital of the Republic.

Despite being such a small character, there is a build up to her journey to the Republic capital.

In a deleted scene, now-General Leia is seen tasking her with going to the Senate to warn them of the threat the First Order poses. It's a small but sweet scene which not only makes her death a few scenes later more effective, but also lets audiences know how big a player Leia has become in the New Republic.

It was cut because J.J Abrams thought that as Leia's re-introduction it wasn't quite fitting enough, and that her re-emergence to the franchise should have been seen through Han's eyes. However, the director later admitted this was a mistake, as keeping it in would have made Hosian's destruction more emotional.
