10 Directors Who Are Notoriously Difficult To Work With

8. Michael Bay

Michael Bay1 It's chiefly the triumvirate of Megan Fox, Shia LaBeouf and Hugo Weaving that's responsible for alerting the public at large to Michael Bay's difficult nature, with them together suggesting Michael Bay is both alternately hostile and indifferent towards his actors. Fox told Wonderland magazine that Bay is "like Napoleon, and he wants to create this insane, infamous mad-man reputation. He wants to be like Hitler on his sets, and he is. So he's a nightmare to work for," while Weaving admitted Michael Bay had never even bothered to meet Weaving for his work on all three Transformers films. Still, it's tiny fighting douchebag LaBeouf that gets the biggest honours, with Bay apparently getting into a fist fight with the actor on the set of Transformers: Dark of the Moon. Michael Bay also bites back, with him calling Weaving a "whiner" after his comments and firing Fox from the Transformers franchise for hers, telling GQ her dismissal was "a small speed bump."
