20 Awesome Horror Movie Deaths NOBODY Talks About

One thing you can count on to be a part of most horror movies is death, given that the genre's popularity is often associated with its ability to mediate our own mortality in a heightened state.

And, y'know, a bunch of us just really love watching the fleshy human form get "reconfigured" in a bevy of inventively gooey ways.

There are dozens and dozens of memorably creative death scenes every single year in the horror genre, and most of these will eventually get their viral moment in the sun.

But every so often a bonkers death scene just ends up falling through the cracks, most likely because the film itself never got the love it deserved upon initial release.

And so, these 20 horror movie deaths all absolutely deserve your attention, because for as uniquely brutal, creative, and even hilarious as they are, they're just not talked about much in horror fandom at all.

Thankfully in most cases the entire movie is also worth checking out, but even if not, these grisly, outrageous, and shocking kills need to be seen as part of your genre education...

Cult classic Tucker and Dale vs. Evil makes the absolute most of its gloriously goofy setup, where a pair of harmless, well-meaning hillbillies (Alan Tudyk and Tyler Labine) are believed to be backwoods murderers by a group of hapless college students.

The film is built around a riotous series of mishaps and misunderstandings which cause the students' deaths, all while Tucker and Dale are basically in the wrong place at the wrong time for all of it.

And the best death of the bunch? When Mike (Joseph Allan Sutherland) attempts to tackle Tucker while he's using a wood chipper, but just as Mike dives at him, Tucker bends down to pick up some wood, sending Mike straight into said wood chipper.

Tucker then screams in horror as he attempts to retrieve a mutilated Mike from the machine, which of course only makes it look like he's actively trying to feed the guy into it. Hilarious.
