10 Directors Who Should Lose The Right To Make Movies

2. Uwe Boll

Uwe Boll There has been a moderate chunk of video game discussion in this list but we have now come to a guy that lives to adapt (terribly I should add) video games into movies under low budgets. Normally I would be behind a director like this but his "adaptations" have nothing to do with the source material. Uwe Boll€™s CV boasts laughably awful renditions of classic video game franchises including BloodRayne, House of the Dead, Far Cry, and more. Looking at those selections, they are all games that do not even lend themselves to a good adaptation in the first place! At the very least, Paul W.S Anderson puts an entertaining spin on his films to attract more mainstream audiences, meanwhile Boll€™s films are just disrespectful to the source material and insanely boring. There are also horrible special effects but what can you expect? Nobody wants to fund this crap. To make matters worse, he actually challenged his naysayers to publicly box him. He then trained himself and beat them without giving his opponents the same preparation. Uwe Boll is a joke to both cinema and gaming.
