When the news broke that Evil Dead would receive a remake in 2013, fans of the franchise understandably lost their minds. With today's technology Evil Dead 2013 actually did a fine job of bringing its own spin to a classic while still paying homage to what originally brought it to the dance. In an effort to recover from her drug addiction, Mia (Jane Levy) is brought to the an abandoned cabin in the woods to spend time with her brother and their friends. Unfortunately, her brother discovers an ancient book that unleashes a demon that possesses Mia and sets out to steal the souls of everyone in the cabin in an attempt to summon a creature known simply as the Abomination. There is plenty of vomit, blood, and dismemberment to be had... but hype for Evil Dead 2013 really skyrocketed when the Red Band trailer revealed a juicy morsel of a scene that was to be featured in the film.
