10. Mean Girls 2 (2011)

Mean Girls (2004) A lot of sequels get panned because they don't make enough effort to do something new: most of them just evoke to reprise the beats of the original movie, as we witnessed in, say, The Hangover Part II. Which means you're essentially watching the same movie all over again, but paying for it (in more than one way). But at least The Hangover II had the added benefit of featuring the original cast: Mean Girls 2 is the first Mean Girls, except with actors that nobody will put in more expensive movies. The plot concerns a girl named Jo, who comes up against a group called "The Plastics," and then... hey, this is the same movie! This is essentially a remake disguised as a sequel, then, with less money involved. And you can see all that "less money" throughout the entire movie, because it's really difficult to hide cheap sets and a bad script. There's a computer hacker in this one, though. So, there's that. And Tim Meadows reprises his role from the original movie, which would have been great, had we known who that is.
