10 Dumbest Sci-Fi Movie Decisions (That People Survived)

2. Grabbing The Baby T-Rex In The Lost World: Jurassic Park

The Jurassic Park movies are all about the same theme that mankind shouldn't mess with nature, and if it does, it's going to come back to bite them in the end... literally. The first film touched on this theme overall, but the sequel, The Lost World: Jurassic Park, did it somewhat differently.

One of the characters who could best be described as an eco-terrorist finds a juvenile Tyrannosaurus Rex and decides to take it home with him. The juvenile T-Rex had been maimed by a hunter and left at the nest to lure the adult in for a kill, so it was a mercy to take the animal, even if it was horribly idiotic.

They get the baby T-Rex back to their RVs to try and set its leg, which had been fractured, but that was clearly a bad idea. The parents come soon after, looking for their child, and once the leg is set properly, the juvenile is released outside, and the parents leave... for a moment.

They come back, and they come back hard. They bash the vehicles and push them over the cliff. In the last moment, the people inside managed to hold onto a rope, and they survive. They absolutely should have been killed, but despite their terrible decision, they managed to survive.
