Comic book villains come in several forms and they range from the uber-intelligent to the uber-stupid. Take Doctor Doom, for example - his intelligence is such that his knowledge of science and technology is way beyond our real world comprehension, while he also has knowledge of magic. But for every Doctor Doom there's a Rhino - and Rhino can barely tie a pair of shoelaces. Given that comic book movies are based on comics, the same goes for them. There are certainly some extremely intelligent comic book movie villains - Julian McMahon's Doctor Doom might have been a horrible depiction of the comic book character, but he was still very clever. Red Skull, Ra's al Ghul, Lex Luthor, Aldrich Killian, the Riddler and the Joker - as well as many others - have all been portrayed as very intelligent individuals on the big screen too. But, just like in the comic book source material, comic book movies also have their fair share of morons - no less so than amongst the hordes of villains that have been depicted on screen.
