Venom - as one of the key foes of Marvel's most popular character - was generally a huge disappointment in the Spider-Man 3 movie. Aside from looking pretty good by way of some impressive CGI, Topher Grace's depiction of Eddie Brock was a whiny, wimpy little weed. He was also very, very stupid. His first sign of stupidity, in his mere human form, was trying to sell Photoshopped versions of Peter Parker's photos to J. Jonah Jameson and the Daily Bugle when Parker himself was working for the same newspaper. How on Earth did he think Parker wouldn't find out? Fool! Secondly, he opted to utilise prayer as a means of having God "kill Peter Parker". Not only is prayer very unlikely to work in general, it's also very unlikely that the good lord would answer a prayer to kill someone. Idiot! Finally, whilst infected by the Venom symbiote that he had already witnessed showing vulnerability to sonic waves, he goaded Spider-Man into a fight at a construction site, which was the home of thousands of hollow metal pipes. Buffoon!
