10 Embarrassing Spelling Mistakes You Won't Believe Made It Into Movies

5. "Christopher Wlaken" - Annie Hall (1977)

Screen shot 2013-02-15 at 13.11.29Annie Hall is arguably the most beloved romantic comedy of all-time, and is famous as being the first film to ever feature Christopher Walken in a proper role (as Annie's partially unhinged brother). Nowadays, anybody typing Christopher Walken's name for use in a credits sequence would find it nearly impossible to get wrong - everybody knows how to spell it, anyway, and c'mon, you're gonna double check that you've spelt Christopher Walken's name right, aren't you? But back in '77, Walken was a relative nobody, and the person tasked with putting together the end credits for Annie Hall wasn't much bothered about things like "spelling" and "getting the actor's names right." As a result, Walken's surname is spelt "Wlaken," an error that still remains in all versions of the movie to this day.
