4. Wondering What Urine Tastes Like - Waterworld

In the dystopian future that Kevin Costner's Waterworld presents things aren't going so well for us as a collective. The polar ice caps have completely melted, and the sea level has risen many hundreds of feet, covering nearly all the land. Humanity has broken down, with many banding together in scrap heap settlements. Others find themselves as lone drifters, sailing across the globe. And others, more or less, just rob everything they come across. The worst part of this future is that we apparently have to drink our own urine to survive. Yup. The film opens with a view of Kevin Costner's backside as you see a stream of urine. He then pours said urine into some sort of purifying machine before he drinks the whole cup. Now, the first thing that ran through everybody's head is whether or not you would be able to do such a thing and wondering what it would be like. Would drinking your own pee be like drinking a warm glass of tea from McDonald's? Most of us will hopefully never know, but the thought did momentarily cross all of our minds.
