10 Epic Comic Book Movie Castings That Must Happen In 2016

10. Nathan Fillion - Green Lantern

Oh, come on: comic book fans have been talking this one up since forever. Can you see a better option out there, Hollywood? Is there another actor out there who embodies the Green Lantern and his associated charisma with just as much gusto as this guy? Granted, Fillion is 44-years-old now, but, hey, so is Ben Affleck - and he just got cast as Batman. It's really not too late. Nathan Fillion's name is always banded around when people start talking about actors being cast in comic book movies, and yet - all this time later - he still hasn't wound up playing a superhero. You'd think that Joss Whedon, writer/director of The Avengers, might have done his friend a favour and offered him a role, but nope: Fillion is still out there, getting older by the day, without a comic book character under his belt. It's blasphemy. Fillion has what it takes to nail Hal Jordan in the wake of Ryan Reynolds' departure - he's cool, but can play slightly arrogant - all whilst retaining his Indiana Jones-esque likeability. Given that there are plans for a Justice League movie to be unveiled in the next few years, Warner Bros. are probably looking for the next Green Lantern right now. Here he is.
