10 Essential Avengers Villains Not Yet Used In The Movies

7. Taskmaster

Super Skrull
Marvel Comics

Despite not being a world-ending, dominating threat on any level, Taskmaster has proven a fan-favourite, and an essential Marvel villain that really ought to get the cinematic treatment. He's more a mercenary than an outright villain, but his skillset (which is to perfectly copy other heroes' fighting styles almost instantly by observing them) makes him one of the most formidable foes imaginable for hands-on heroes like Cap, Widow, and Hawkeye, among others.

He's not particularly ambitious, with no plans to take over or take revenge, and only turned to crime rather than being a hero simply because it paid better. This makes for a hilarious and absolutely fascinating foil for most villains, having a guy who went into criminal activity just because he could.

He's a consummate professional who works for the paycheck, and he's a masterful teacher who's trained multiple other criminals with bigger plans than he has, making him a unique character in a sea of monologuing, dramatic, angry and self-righteous super-villains. His wit, his pragmatism, and his ability to throw down with any hero of a fighting class, would make for one of the most entertaining and realistic villains Marvel could pick up for the franchise.
