2013 was another year that saw the release of multiple comic book films. The big blue Boy Scout finally made his long-awaited return to the big screen. Marvel Studios and Disney once again earned another billion dollars with the third entry in the Iron Man series. Many, in fact, every superhero film this year was met with mixed reactions from fans and critics. This year contained two of the biggest fanbase backlashes ever in fanboy history. The film adaptation of a certain villain far surpassed the fan backlash the Dark Knight Rises received last year. One of the most anticipated superhero reboots in recent memory was released to mixed results and is widely considered a disappointment.
