10 Essential Marvel Villains Not Yet Used In The Movies

4. The Leader

Leader Marvel
Marvel Comics

Why He's Awesome: You don't get to be considered one of Hulk's deadliest enemies without doing something impressive. He is a supremely intelligent being, capable of the kind of acts of grand manipulation that have seen many others fall under his control in his bid to end Bruce Banner, and there are few minds to rival his in the Marvel universe.

It is said that he can think above and beyond the normal human spectrum of thought, even comprehending the fourth dimension, and as such he can predict possibilities and the outcome of any situation with stunning accuracy. He is basically Marvel's biggest know-it-all, which is a lot more deadly than it sounds, allowing him to control other minds and create super-weapons of vast power and devastation.

How Likely Is He?: Actually, the Hulk supervillain almost appeared: what was expected to be his origin was shown in The Incredible Hulk when Tim Blake Nelson's Dr Samuel Stern was accidentally infected with Bruce Banner's blood and saw his head expand grotesquely. Presumably a sequel would have seen him in full Leader mode, but it was binned in favour of keeping the Hulk for Avengers movies initially.

He did appear in The Avengers prelude Fury's Big Week, but that's not canon and therefore doesn't count. And yet, it's precisely because of that that he's probably unlikely to reappear. 2/10
