10 Essential Spider-Man Villains Not Yet Used In The Movies

4. Hobgoblin

At this point, we've already had our fill of Norman Osborn and his irritating son. The entirety of Sam Raimi's Spider-Man trilogy devoted itself to the friendship between Peter and Harry, with the spectre of Norman looming heavily over them both, in and out of costume. And the less said about Amazing Spider-Man 2, the better.

So how about the Hobgoblin instead? Provided you don't count James Franco's ridiculous Spider-Man 3 act (which you shouldn't), this less original but startlingly grotesque loon on a glider has yet to make his screen debut.

Those colours; that hood; the pumpkin bombs; it's about time we stopped letting the Osborns hog the limelight and give another Goblin a chance.
